NSW is now accepting direct applications for State Nomination to apply for the Subclass 491 Skilled Work Regional visas under two pathways:
Pathway 1: Working for a NSW business
· The role must be located in a physical business located in a designated regional area
· In your nominated or closely related occupation
· Have held the position with the same employer for at least 6 months
· Working at least 20 hours per week
· Paid at least TSMIT of $73,150 per annum (some concessions apply)
All occupations eligible for the Subclass 491 visa will be considered. The NSW Regional Skilled List does not apply to pathway 1.
There is no longer a requirement to actually be living in NSW for this period, providing greater flexibility for border-town residents.
Pathway 3: Graduates of regional NSW Institutions
· Completed at least a bachelor’s degree qualification from an institution located in a designated regional area of NSW
· Study is related to nominated occupation
· Eligible for points under SkillSelect for studying in regional Australia
· Course completed within last 2 years
