The Department of Home Affairs has announced that registrations for the Work and Holiday (Subclass 462) visa ballot for applicants from China, India, and Vietnam will open on 4 June 2026 and close on 25 June 2026 for the 2026–27 program year.
Individuals seeking to apply for their first Subclass 462 visa during the 2026–27 program year must register in the ballot during this registration period. Only those who successfully register and are selected through the ballot process will be eligible to lodge a visa application.
The ballot system applies specifically to eligible passport holders from China, India, and Vietnam and is an important first step in accessing Australia’s Work and Holiday visa program.
Prospective applicants should ensure they meet all eligibility requirements and register before the closing date of 25 June 2026.
